Seeing the Labyrinth as a Straight Line; Part II

The Danish Institute in Athens, 2013

„And you?“ the Great Khan asked Polo, „you return from lands equally distant

and you can tell me only the thoughts that come to a man

who sits on his doorstep at evening to enjoy the cool air.
What is the use, then, of all your traveling?

Italo Calvino : Invisible Cities

Seeing the Labyrinth as a Straight Line is a continuation of a project I started in Damascus 2010-11 examining the artist's role as a traveler. The project focuses on the journey as a metaphor for wanderlust or in Goethes word Fernweh.
For six weeks I explored Athens and mapped my progress with different methods.
